Tracking ChatGPT Referrals in Google Analytics

To track ChatGPT referrals in Google Analytics 4, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to “Acquisition > Traffic acquisition.”
2. Choose “Session source / Medium” from the drop-down menu below the graph.
3. In the search field, type “gpt” to filter session sources related to ChatGPT.

Creating custom reports can help you access this data more efficiently. External tools like Databox can also be used to filter and visualize GA4 data traffic, allowing users to monitor ChatGPT referrals alongside other metrics like conversions.

Analyzing ChatGPT Referrals and Landing Pages

To analyze ChatGPT referrals and landing pages in GA4, follow these steps:
